Finally blogging about my 21st birthday because like since I blogged about my previous birthdays, I definitely have to blog about my 21st right? After all it’s like only the most celebrated years. The next year that will experience such hype is like.. my 60th?? HAHAHA. I wonder what the world will be like when I’m 60. Interesting.
I toyed with the idea of having a 21st birthday party for the LONGEST time. On one hand I wanted one because like wow so fun seeing all my friends together on my birthday. But on the other hand so many reasons to NOT have one. Like I’d be way too stressed during it, I’d be worried that my friends were not having fun, I’ve too many friends who don’t belong to a big group so they would be lonely, Melissa’s birthday is on the same day, etc etc. So I decided not to have a birthday thing.
Couldn’t celebrate w Melissa on the actual day this year because she was having a BBQ with her family so we settled on celebrating earlier. I love birthday celebrations with Melissa 😀 So glad we’re still friends and celebrating our birthdays together. I think it’s our umm 3rd time celebrating together? Yippee! We went on a food fest this year HAHA. Skipped out on Max Brenner. Breaking traditions the both of us!
Went to Manbok Korean BBQ where we discovered a great new place for Korean BBQ omg the lunch was only S$15 NETT!! All-you-can-eat style buffet yums. They even had a little pot at the side where you can do a steamboat or army stew if you wish. We ofc did the army stew. It’s amazing what two girls can eat when they set their minds to it hehe. The selection of meats was quite limited tho. But still really yummy. I think the marinated chicken breast was quite good! And the bacon. Omg we spammed the bacon hahaha so good!! Love Korean bbq sigh. We ate until we couldn’t move. So it was time to move to our next stop!!
We were headed to Lady M at Marina Square. Passed by Llao Llao and it wasn’t that long a queue! So we were like OKAY let’s see what the hype is all about. So we ordered a Sanum to share and we were… disappointed. Like omg so THIS is what the hype is over?!? WHAT is this?!?! So unimpressed and disappointed at all the people who made us BUY it even tho we were still so full LOL. We just kept complaining the whole time we were eating it hahaha omg so Singaporean. It’s not that it tasted bad. I’ve gotta admit that it’s kinda yummy. It’s just that it’s not really so mindblowing to inspire such long snaking queues. /smh.
After that we walked to Marina Square and walked around for a bit because we were way too full. BUT that’s not going to deter us from our original goal!! LADY M! Woohoo crepe cake.

THE ICE WATER THEY SERVED OMG. Idk how to describe it. Idk why it was so good. Is it like expensive places even have good tasting water?? IDK. Hahahaha but really omg the ice water was so refreshing. It’s not even like we were v hot. I mean like we had Llao Llao earlier plus we were walking around in an air-conditioned mall. But the ice water was SO TASTY HAHA HOW??? WHAT SORCERY. CAN I DRINK IT EVERYDAY?!?! We got a refill ofc. Melissa even gave me some of hers HAHAHA. Thanks lady M.

CONTINUING MY EPIC LONG POST ABOUT MY EPIC 20TH BIRTHDAY ♥
Mei and I had to fly off to Raffles Place because my mum almost lost her temper when she found out we were still at Esplanade. It was because I was dilly dallying hahaha HOW COULD I BEAR TO LEAVE THE FULL OF SURPRISES ESPLANADE ROOFTOP RIGHT. ST, Hazel, PJ and I left together, making sure I was holding and showing off the board that announced my birthday to the world. To our greatest surprise (and Hazel was super happy I think), a lady actually came up to me to wish me a happy birthday when we were tryna take a picture hahaha. Whee thank you random lady for adding to my happy birthday 🙂
So mei and I rushed over to Si Chuan Dou Hua Restuarant to meet my family (who were all there already oops). ALL WAITING FOR THE BIRTHDAY GIRL AKA ME AND MEIMEI. Because it was a combined dinner celebration for the both of us. Saving money by celebrating together wheee. My parents got me a bouquet as well! Pretty flowers! :D:D Turns out my parents were in on the secret too gosh MY FAMILY SO DEVIOUS ❤
Had a super good dinner w family omg EXPENSIVE GOOD FOOD REALLY. But I was a bit full and high on happiness so somehow the food sorta paled in comparison to what I had experienced just hours ago haha oops. Q wasted right D: But rly the food was super good. Didn’t take pictures of it because the table was too laden w food to take a nice shot. BUT my tummy was v happy.

BUT THE CAR COULDN’T START OMG HAHAHAHA SO EXCITING RIGHT. Of all days for it to happen… LOL. Was quite hilarious.
So I left some stuff in the car (like my board oops) and then we all went to cab home while my daddy (poor thing) waited for AA to come give life to his dead battery. SIGH I felt so bad for abandoning daddy by his car alone 😦
Went home and didn’t do much. Waited for daddy to come home to cut my birthday caaaakeeeee yay!! SUPER CUTE BIRTHDAY CAKE THIS YEAR. I didn’t realise it was so cute when I selected it.

After eating the cake my mum walked my grandma home (yay happy about this as well, becos I rly think my mum should spend more time w my popo) so mei and I waited for her to come home so that we could open my presents together~
Usually I get a bit upset when we don’t follow the ritual through (yes I’m childish like that oops). Like at every birthday, we have to take photos as a family, individual / group shots, then cut and give out the cake, then sit down together and watch the birthday kid open and marvel at his/her gifts. But then since my 20th birthday already so incredibly atypical and happy-making.. I was completely fine w only mei and mummy w me while I opened my presents. HAHA
Clue #4: Mummy called out mei for texting while I was opening my gifts. But I figured it was probably something to do with school so I was like ‘aiya nvm la’
And I’ve discovered that perhaps gifts are getting less and less meaningful to me (unless it’s thoughtful/useful/something I rly want) and heartfelt letters are what really makes me happy. The idea that my friend has put in effort and time to write me a lovely long letter is something far more precious to me now. GROWING UP EH THIS PUISAN.

Damn super duper grateful and I think it just ALL HIT ME WHEN I STARTED TALKING TO THIS BFFFF FOR THE PAST SIX YEARS. Like super overwhelmed by all the love from my friends and the happiness from the day and I just started to WAIL. I just kept going like ‘omg why are you all so nice to me really you’re so nice I’m so touched what have I done omg thank you thank you thank you’
I closed the door to cry but then my parents rushed over like super worried, thinking that something bad happened. THEY WERE LIKE WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOU SIAO AH LOLOL.
But yeah I was just really super thankful for all that ST planned for me. Even tho he kept saying that oh no Hazel did a lot also I’m sure Hazel did really BUT I KNOW YOU MASTER PLANNER LA YOU. ❤ Thank you so so so much ST 爱死你了.

This year was really one of the most surprising birthdays I’ve had. Also one of the most touching. Felt so incredibly loved by my friends and family and lucky that I’ve such an awesome bunch behind me. 27 Sept 2013 is gna be one of the days I look back on when I’m having a tough time 🙂
This year I honestly wasn’t really looking forward to my birthday that much. I chalked it up to getting older and more mature LOL. I know this is despite the fact that I kept reminding my friends that my birthday was coming teehee oops. Sorry, bad habits are a bit hard to break. I was actually more excited about Big Bang’s concert the week before than my own birthday.
So my plan was.. to study in the morning then head out to meet Melissa the birthday girl for Max Brenner’s, study UTU a bit then have dinner w my family. I know it sounds not v exciting but I was really quite satisfied w it. I knew my friends were busy w school, plus I wanted to celebrate w Melissa because it’s both our birthdays and how cool is that right! 😀 Birthday Max Brenner’s is gna be our yearly thing hahaha wheeeee.
Gna do a very detailed post because ST requested and he’s eagerly anticipating this hahaha. Plus I think my birthday deserves a nice, detailed post 😀
Received a number of lovely midnight/near-midnight messages from different people. ST had duty so he sent me a message earlier haha I suppose it counts to because I’m sure he’d have been one of the firsts if he could have been! Two messages that rly made me smile, one from Susu and one from Choonz.

So I went to sleep after that, woke up and had a very productive morning! Revised a bit of UTU, did what I had to do for NM Soc, replied birthday messages intermittently as well. I was so happy with my productive morning haha. Arranged to meet Melissa earlier because I realised she didn’t have anything on before meeting me anyway. I forgot our new meeting time already 😦 Suffice to say, it was one of those odd timings I have come to prefer. Hahaha yay to weird meeting times 😀
Wore my pretty, (not so) new dress w zebra prints again because I wanted to at least dress differently for my birthday. Packed my UTU notes in my bag, the camera and my instax and set off ~ Was late in meeting Melissa D: Gah so sorry to make you wait during your birthday. In the train there I was totally judging this queer couple engaging in PDA. Really… a bit too much. BUT ENTERTAINING. I made sure to file away the information in my head so that I could report it to Melissa when I met her hahaha.

Clue #1: He said that there was a tall lady in front of him as well. I was thinking like eh? Since when his camp got girl. But I didn’t dwell too deeply on it.
Met Melissa who was lounging around on the sofas at the basement of Esplanade. Almost missed her, luckily she heard the bell on my anklet, if not it’d be like some Korean drama hoho. Exciting stuff, filming Korean dramas on my birthday.
Went up to Max Brenner and HAPPY STUFF BECAUSE GOT 1-FOR-1 DEAL HAHAHA. So happyyy whee whee. Cheapos even on our birthdays.

Was all not bad! But got a bit too sweet for us after awhile. Melissa also gave me a nice birthday card omg I feel so bad. Thanks so much for such a sweet, mushy message teehee. So out-of-character for you!! So I really appreciate it ♥
Oh yeah. Midway through the meal, I received a birthday text from Benedict Chan being all cryptic and like ‘i foresee many surprises coming your way’. Melissa was like ‘Who is Benedict Chan. Damien Chan’s brother ah’ then we went on to discuss what he could be referring to. But I sorta concluded that he was being weird and talking rubbish hahaha.
After that Melissa seemed really eager to leave and check out the Merlion. She said she saw it on TV while watching F1 and thought it was really cute, like she never really appreciated it enough in her 20 years in Singapore (okay that’s just my interpretation hahaha). I thought she was being really cute and didn’t think too much about it because sometimes Melissa does strange, incomprehensible, q cute things like that. It’s one of the v endearing things about her to me – like she seems so fierce but actually she’s v funny hahaha. But fierce. I WILL BE FIERCE TOOOOO. One day.
So we went out and took many pictures. I was a bit bemused actually.
Clue #2: In the many times that I’ve gone out w Melissa, I’ve never seen her take so many pictures before. Okay no, I guess we took a lot of pictures last year during our birthday. But I’ve never seen her want to take so many pictures before. IT WAS LIKE THIS OTHER SIDE OF MELISSA THAT I’VE NEVER SEEN. Can’t believe she asked me several times if I wanted to take a photo. But I chalked it up to her liking the camera.
Saw a hopscotch drawn on the floor for a Children’s day event. So I took advantage of her sudden interest in taking photos and we took this:

I was a bit like OH NO the hopscotch didn’t have 9. BUT genius birthday girl (not me) said we could take a photo w no.9 with an upside down no.6 omg. SO SMART THIS GIRL. Hahahaha.
Then we slowly strolled along Singapore river (I had to Google to make sure my blogpost is factually accurate. So much effort I put in right). Took many pictures of the skyline and tried to take selcas and panorama photos. A bit fail on my end HAHA. But I think hers not bad.

So we trekked slowly to the Merlion to see it close up. So many tourists!! We had a good time um, checking out the tourists’ interesting poses. I wonder if Italians look at tourists in the same way when they do all the strange poses near the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Probably right! Hahaha. So we also took a few photos at the Merlion. But really superrr crowded and it was q difficult to get someone to take the photo for us D: Taking solo shots not as fun! Asking people to help us take pictures is so troublesome gah.
After taking several pictures and two instax photos, Melissa asked me where I wanted to go next. I was like uhh. I had the time to spare since it was still q early. But I didn’t really know where to go D: It seemed to be a choice between going to Gardens by the Bay to take more photos and going to MBS. Both seemed really far to me but I was just like um do you wna go to Gardens by the Bay? But she was lazy (or so I thought) and politely rejected my suggestion. I was slightly relieved tho haha because GTBB really looked super far away. So as per her suggestion, we decided to walk back to Esplanade and go to the rooftop and take pictures from there becos ‘also can see MBS / GTBB’. Hahaha I was like okay sure.
We ambled to the souvenir shop where we spent some time being appalled at the hiked up prices. Tourist spots really /shakes head. Then we walked back to Esplanade. Midway through the bridge, she started walking at a pace much faster than our slow ambling pace throughout the day. She said she needed to use the washroom rly badly so I was like okay sure let’s hurry back then. Suddenly…
Clue #3: She answered a call. I didn’t really pay attention to the details but I overheard her saying something like “Yeah in 5 minutes”. So obviously I asked what was happening. She mumbled something about how it was some coordinator from her school and her friend, being a bit strange, wanted to text back the coordinator at the same time – which was in 5 minutes time.
Quite weird but okay. I found it a bit fishy but I couldn’t really catch what she was saying (because she was walking so fast!) and didn’t want to annoy her so I didn’t ask more questions. Besides, it was some school thing so I figured that she probably would explain to me later after she was a bit uh, more relieved.
<edit> According to Melissa after I asked her, what she told me to explain in 5 minutes’ was “… it was something I coordinated w one friend to msg another friend w my friends from school”. Her “hurried and worried” explanation hahaha </edit>
So we hurried back to Esplanade and headed to the rooftop. On the way up she was going “oh gosh has it been five minutes already. I need to call my friend” And she was like frantically dialing which was honestly a bit strange but I was thinking okay she has some strange friends hahaha. Saw the sign for the Esplanade library and she was like oh didn’t know there was a library here. I then asked if she wanted to go check it out since yknw, I thought we had all the time in the world, don’t need to rush anywhere what. The view at the rooftop isn’t going anywhere. But she smoothly rejected my suggestion. On hindsight, she must have been quite panicked when I suggested it LOL.
By the time we got to the rooftop, she did actually show signs of being a bit flustered. Like she really kept on calling ‘Sally’ and even said really loudly “Why isn’t Sally answering my call?!!”
SOOOOOOOOO obviously I’m not that stupid la and started suspecting something already.

EVEN SHERLYN CAME with her boyfriend whom I was very happy to meet and talk to for the first time in their what, 2 years together? I don’t even know. So tough to meet Sherlyn nowadays hahaha so glad she managed to come super grateful omg. And speaking of her boyfriend, I was really like omg they are SO COMPATIBLE. I’ve never met him before that day. After meeting him I could finally honestly say that I was happy for her. They’re so cute together gosh. If only her parents could see that meh.
I was talking to Isaac and Brian most I think. They were filling me in on all the gossip I missed from not meeting up w them LOL. OH BUT of all people.. they were the people I expected to see least because they really have little to no connection to my groups of friends. ST YOU CAN WORK MAGIC. So touched that all the three guys managed to come. So lucky also!! Happy to be able to catch up w them and I RESOLVED ONCE AGAIN TO TRY HARDER TO KEEP IN TOUCH W THEM LOL. Let’s see how long it lasts la. Oh Xun Yi came also, but he came immediately after he booked out (omg damn sweeet) so was a bit late. BUT IT’S THE THOUGHT THAT COUNTS. :’) And the three of them gave me a craftaholic-like bunny. According to Brian, they didn’t intend to get me the bunny at first! They were tryna win a soft toy from a claw machine (I Googled the name. It’s those you put in money and try to grab a soft toy kinda thing) but realised that they were q bad at it. So instead of spending more on that, they decided to get me Stripey. Hahaha it’s rly q sweet of them 😀
I didn’t talk much to my uni friends (feels a bit weird grouping them like that haha). D: Felt quite bad about it oops. But they gave me this really really pretty pop-up card that Sam made and popcorn which is damn nice so yummy. Food gifts are of course good gifts.

Omg I just realised how this post will link to the next, if I post about my birthday next that is. Because ST told me that he wasn’t free on my birthday, we decided to hang out on the Wednesday of recess week when he had his off day. So idk about you ST, but it was sorta like a hang out day + birthday-not-birthday-yet celebration for me.
We had a lot of trouble deciding what to do because I didn’t really want to go to places to play (not really in the mood because of school) but we were on a budget for food. Then I remembered the cafe hopping day w the NM buddies. So I suggested the place to ST since we don’t usually go to these places. WE THE HEARTLANDERS AT HEART.
I was slightly early so I decided to go do my nails at the salon next to the MRT station. $6 for express eh. I WAS HAPPY. Until they tried to sell a $399 package to a poor uni student wth. Not sure if I wna go back there already D: BUT IT’S CHEAP AND NEAR. Don’t have to go all the way to Far East!! Yeah so because I was doing my nails I was late -.- Oopsie
Met ST and boarded the train to Tanjong Pagar. We had a few exciting moments as the train kept jerking and stopping. SO EXCITING ‘ARE WE GOING TO BE STUCK IN THE TRAIN??’ ‘OMG WE CAN USE THE EXTINGUISHER TO BREAK THE GLASS!!’ Then there was an announcement… “I need to <abruptly cut off” WE ARE FOREVER WONDERING WHAT THE TRAIN OPERATOR NEEDED TO DO OMG. We speculated that the train was hijacked. Someone gagged him from behind. CONSPIRACYYYY. But the train started to move along normally after that so sigh. Big fuss for nothing.
Oh I also spent the time travelling telling ST about what I’m learning in school. Thanks for listening ST :D:D
Arrived at Tanjong Pagar and asked for directions. Got momentarily lost but I recognised my surroundings and we got safely to Group Therapy.
Took superrr long to decide on what to eat but it was worth the time because we made such GOOD CHOICES.

WE TOOK PICTURES OF OUR FOOD HAHA HOW NOT BAD RIGHT.
Chilli crab pie was a pleasant surprise. ACTUALLY EVERYTHING WAS DAMN GOOD LA REALLY. The salmon yumz I have realised that I like smoked salmon because it doesn’t really have the fishy taste.
So yup we had a good time telling stories and chatting and talking about idk what but time passed so quickly and we were full and exclaiming about how delicious the food was.
Then WE DECIDED TO ORDER DESSERT BECAUSE WHAT MEAL IS COMPLETE WITHOUT DESSERT RIGHT ANOT RIGHT. Again we spent like what, 15 minutes deciding what to get? It was down to the apple pie I had the last time or a cheesecake. Chose the cheesecake in the end because it was cheaper (I think) and because I haven’t tried it before.

Polished off the cheesecake in a jiffy because it was so tiny.
Paid then off we went to explore some more. Walked to this like little bookstore which seemed to be straight out of the books (lol I’m so funny right). It was quite intimidating though the people downstairs so we climbed to the second floor where it was empty and I felt way more at ease there. The books there… I’m sure they were shelved in some system but I’m not sure what. But what was really interesting to me was the little book review post-its stuck on the shelves. I APPROVE. 😀
Escaped from the confines of the bookstore and again we drifted around, following people who seemed to know where they were headed. Ended up at red dot museum but it wasn’t open so too bad for us. The store was open though so we browsed but were confused at what they were actually selling and the exorbitant prices.

So glad we’ve managed to remain friends all through Sec 3-4, JC, Uni/Army (tho not over yet). I can’t wait to plan your 55th birthday party.
People keep asking me why we aren’t together if we’re so close. But really, there’s not a single romantic love feeling in our friendship. How could I romantically love someone who’s practically an extension of me? Some people don’t seem to understand that D: I’m so proud of my ST because he’s so cool and supportive and I really really believe that we’ll be friends for a long time. Yknw how in primary school we’re always friends forever and we end up being only friends for one year. WE WILL BE THE OUTLIERRRR.

I felt so super duper loved by all my friends and family today. I definitely definitely will not forget today because really, how often does one have a day like that?

Sometimes it feels like I’m neglecting y’all, or sometimes we don’t talk, or sometimes we just have periods of long quietness haha but you four are always in my heart. LIKE PERMANENTLY. Can we please be best friends forever and ever?

Hello hello! To those who are curious, I had the most fantastic (baby) birthday a few days ago 🙂 First time I had a holiday on my birthday and I totally made good use of it I think.
I initially expected my birthday to be quite a low-key affair since mei already told me that they didn’t have the time to get anything for me (promos’ next week!) and my parents don’t know what to get for me anymore. Okay I know it sounds v superficial butttttt it’s not only presents!! They were kinda busy as well plus my daddy was in China so we couldn’t have the usual birthday celebration thing (which I was sorta upset about) But I decided to suck it up and then woohoo my family came through for me (again as usual I love you sissy) and surprised me very pleasantly. Here’s how my day went:
Went for FunkBlitz w Rachael at Amore in the morning (SUCH A GOOD GIRL, EXERCISING ON MY BDAY RIGHT HAHA). The theme of the day was retro and the tai-tais were really dressed up for the theme, wow hahaha. It was the instructor’s last class there so they were taking pictures in their retro clothes and stuff. Which was sorta weird. But okay. The choreo for the day was.. interesting! Really quite retro. The songs also. Some songs I couldn’t recognise at all (Rachael was hoping they’d play T-ara’s Roly Poly!) and some songs which I could (Grease and ABBA!) whee.
Cycled for about 20 minutes in the gym before giving up, I decided that I was too lazy to exercise so much on my birthday ^^ Went home and my grandma boiled two eggs for me because she realised it was my birthday according to the Chinese calendar as well (idk the link also) so I ate it. Then bathed. Then changed. Then went to Din Tai Fung for lunch w my grandma, sissy and her two friends!
DTF was yummy! And Mindy has an iPhone 5. And we were v full hahaha. After eating, sissy announced that she had to go off to do business which I naturally assumed meant that she was going to the washroom. After quite a long while (during which I realised she brought her wallet to the washroom, which puzzled me because nobody would steal her wallet), she popped back w a slice of cake and macroons from The Icing Room! SO SWEET SISSY :D:D Thank you v much.

Went home and got ready to go out again to meet Melissaaaaaaaaa :D:D Happy birthday to Melissa my dearest Melissa teehee LOVE YOU LONG TIME.
I was late (sorry D: ) and poor Melissa was left hungry. BUT I’m sure I was worth the wait. We went to Max Brenner’s Chocolate Bar and omg it was SUPER DUPER YUMMYYYYY. Not much to say at this point because all we did was sit and talk, eat yummy yummy choc fondue (w strawberries, marshmellows, bananas, cake, and cookies that according to her, are JTS) and cheesecake, take some pictures. After that we went outside Esplanade and took more pictures hurhur.

Then we parted ways D: She was off to Lenas (birthday discount teehee) and I walked to Funan to buy more Instax films hahaha. BUT I REALISED IT’S V CHEAP TO BUY ONLINE. So I think I’ll consider buying online next time. Can save so much $$ sigh.
Walked back to City Hall for dinner w my mum (DAMN FSW I KNOW HAHA BUT WHAT TO DO)

Ate dinner at Prego! My mum was very excited about bringing me here and the food was GOOD. And the ambiance was nice too 😀 Unfortunately, VERY VERY UNFORTUNATELY I was v full from the choc fondue w Melissa so I couldn’t eat a lot D: Oh and the chicken dish scared me really it did I’m not going to post the picture up because the chicken was v scary I dont like. But it was yummy (gluttony hahaha omg)
OH AND I ALMOST FORGOT TO SAY!! My mum surprised me w this huge bouquet of roses, the prettiest I’ve ever seen.

The restaurant was also v nice! They gave us a complimentary slice of cake becos it was my bday ^^ and even sang a birthday song for me haha which was sorta awkz but okay la v nice of them 🙂

Then we went to Bishan to pick sissy and her friend up. AND THEN SHE SURPRISED ME W TWO HUGEEEEEEE BALLOONS OMG SO NICE OF HER RIGHT :D:D:D

DINNER W 08 LOVELIES ON 28 SEPT 😀
They gave me a cute Tinkerbell cake and another balloon hahaha today’s the year of balloons. OH and of course a card :D:D The card was so lovely thank you belly so much. Lyrics from Be Your Everything and various One Direction songs 😀 Every card’s so special and different oh my gosh I really treasure these cards a lot, not only because they’re so pretty but also because they contain the well-wishes of my favourite group of people.

Dinner was lovely of course! Jian Yi managed to come this time so we got to hear his army stories as well haha. Just sitting around and chatting ~ AND ST brought the jellybeans so we made them try the gross flavours. And Jacq really has NO expressions hahaha. PJ ate the Vomit flavour I think. In fact, most of them ate the gross flavours. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW THEY CAN TAKE IT HAHA.
I also received a very sweet letter from PJ and a card from Melissa. Thank you so much to the both of you to the long messages and I love you both so much 😀

And yup that’s about all! Will be having my bday cake this afternoon since my daddy’s back from China and that should be about it for my birthday celebrations thank you so much to everyone to wished me a happy birthday (even if it was on Facebook and Twitter sigh) and all my beloved friends who made me so happy and lucky on this special day 🙂

Only about an hour into my birthday and I’m kinda excited about today. Don’t want to look forward / expect too much though, because I have this tendency to over-think things and expect the moon and the world but end up disappointed. BUT I’m going to accept and delight at everything my friends and loved ones offer me today – be it well-wishes, gifts (thick skinned right hahaha) and happy thoughts 🙂 love you all so much haha.
